I love crisp fall leaves....the beauty that has been painted on the maples in the fall is majestic and they are so stately and happy looking even though they will be losing their beauty as winter takes over.
How about watching kids as they jump through piles of leaves and hear the crunch under your feet.
And then there is the first bite of the apple you pick from the apple orchard..... juicy, tart and sweet all at the same time...begging for you to turn them into a pie.

There is that first crisp cut into your pumpkin....jack-o-lanterns all a-row...the lovely smell of pumpkin permeating the air and the seeds that turn into crispy little snacks!
Breathe in the crisp air and fill your lungs with fall! Get out the sweaters, get out the rakes and enjoy the weather because soon Old Man Winter will be blowing cold.
The leaves are already falling in Quebec... Yeah, Fall is coming!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the sunflowers in your header, so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with the crisp fall leaves. Our little boy has already been asking about when we get to jump in the leaves. Fun times to come!
Happy FMM!
Oh gosh....I love the Fall the best of alllll seasons. I think for me it is the dusty smell of the leaves, the colours (which on the West Coast are often hidden behind the dismal rain)...the back to routine that it brings, harvest, smell of canning and pickling, berry pies, the knowledge that Christmas is coming and of course, Thanksgiving too....oh it is simply the best best time of the year!
ReplyDeleteI do love fall as well, but I'm not quite ready for it yet. Seems like summer flew by much too fast this year.
ReplyDeleteoh i love the fall as well
ReplyDeleteGreat list! We just moved into a great house with tons of fruit trees...but no apples! We will still have to buy them lol Happy Monday :)
ReplyDeleteThose wonderful sunflowers in your header just made me smile when I opened your blog. Reading your Fall thoughts made me smile too. It's a list we can all relate to and it made me look forward to those crisp nights with football games, etc. laurie
ReplyDeleteI'm with Patsy! I wouldn't be upset if fall lasted all winter though... ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love fall too - thanks for bringing it in with such a warm welcome! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat blog, and I love your kitty Cassie.
ReplyDeleteI expect some great foods then...for fall. I'll be back :)
Since we dont get snow here, I prefer fall than blistering cold dry dead weather.
We are not quite ready for fall here in Oregon. The nights are getting much cooler, but the leaves have not yet started to turn. I'll be ready when it finally comes. Have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteI love the golden sunlight falling on golden fields, the smell of crisp apples that perfume the air. I like to see squirrels scurrying about storing their secret stashes. I love the sound of the geese flying overhead. I love the mountains all aglow with red, yellow, and green, looking like a Scottish plaid, and to see their colors reflected in a deep cool lake.
ReplyDeleteLove it. I love fall but hate winter. I love pumpkin patches, Thanksgiving, Cool orange mornings and going for long walks with out sweating.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my place. I'll be milling around a bit getting to know you.
Hi Linda! Happy FMM! I loved your list. I love Fall too. I am getting excited for cooler weather so I can make some soups. I love the fall leaves too!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are having a great week!
XOXO
